The game type was Seize Ground with 5 Objectives (Green hill with trees behind ruins on left, top of ruins on left, top of center wooden house, central green hill, left most green hill with pine trees), with Dawn of War deployment.  He passed me first turn, so I deployed as such.

Guardian squad 1 was in the ruins spread over multiple levels to hold that objective, other squad with Farseer was hiding behind cover in case initiative was stolen so psychic powers could be used.

He deployed in a central area with his wraithguard troop and farseer.  He then infiltrated his pathfinders onto the central wooden house objective.

Initiative was not stolen.  Turn 1 everything comes in and gets into position.  Everything that can tries to fire at the wraithguard without much luck.  The avatar moves in on the pathfinders from the get-go.

End of shooting phase, the falcon that had moved flat out uses star engines to block my prism, guardians, and dire avengers from LoS, granting cover and protection for the next turn.

He deploys in a right flank, hoping to use cover to avoid my fire base, and close in on my weaker flank onto my dark reapers.  He charges the wraithguard down the center.

My turn, Avatar destroys the pathfinders and consolidates down into cover out of LoS of the incoming wraithguard.  The falcon flies up and drops off the fire dragons, which torch a couple of the wraithguard.    Most of the army shot at the wraithguard, and managed to kill a few.

He moved up the guard, and as my wraithlord was out of sight, he shot at my falcon and managed to disable its pulse laser and immobilize it.  He also skyleapt his Hawks.

My Avatar springs from cover, and manages to roast a wraithguard with his sword on the way into assault.  The Dark Reapers cover his assault in, killing a good few for him. The fire dragons hop back into the immobilized falcon, hoping he would forget about them.  The Avatar spends the next few turns having fun with the Wraithguard and Seer.  The warp spiders shot at the Vipers and managed to wreck one.

The warp spiders jumped just far enough away to be in a perfect position to get toasted by the storm guardians in the trees, and all but two were killed but they managed to hold.

As I had hoped, he moved his vipers up to shoot at my guardians hiding between the wooden houses.  He killed a few, but in turn had forgotten about my Fire Dragons inside the tank.  Bye bye vipers.  My wraithguard managed to wreck his wave serpent, and the fire dragons inside were reduced to a few stragglers by my fire prism.  His wave serpent flew in behind my Dark Reapers, and his hawks were deepstruck nearby behind the ruins.  They were met during my turn by my Brightlance on the Wave Serpent popping the tank, the Dark Reapers removing the Dire Avengers from the disembark, and my Dire Avengers Bladestorming the Hawks to death.

At this point in the game, all but his autarch, two storm guardians, and three fire dragons were dead, and all that I had lost were 8 guardians and around 3 Wraithguard.  We both decided to be a little reckless since the game was pretty much over, so the Autarch destroyed my Wave Serpent, with Dire Avengers and Farseer in tow all due to a Death or Glory on my flat out Tank Shock.  My whole army shot at the Autarch in spite, with the Avatar hot on foot.  What managed to kill the Autarch was surprisingly my little Shuriken Catapult on the bottom of my immobilized Falcon.  The rest of the game was spent in close combat with my Wraithguard, his storm guardians, and his Fire Dragons, with my Avatar on the way.  The game ended after turn 6, with my guardians and pathfinders controlling the left most objectives, with my other remaining guardian squad on the way to the Wooden House objective, and him controlling none.

Overall, a very fun and satisfying game.  My army synergy seemed to really flow together this game, and it proves the age-old point that seems to always happen with armies like Eldar: it's either an overwhelming win or an overwhelming loss.  There doesn't seem to be as much of a middle ground as there is with other armies.  My Avatar and my Dark Reapers were undoubtably the MVP's of this game, rescuing the rest of the army from the threat of the Wraithguard, and my Dark Reapers wiping out his shining spears, nearly 5 of the Wraithguard, and the whole Dire Avenger squad in around 1 firing turn each. What are your opinions?  What could each of the players have done differently to affect the outcome of the game?  Was the problem in the list of the execution?
