The last half of 2018 and all of 2019 have been almost completely void of Warhammer 40k and miniature hobby progress unfortunately. We moved to a different state in the summer of 2018, and have had difficulty making time to play and get connected in the wargaming community in my new area due to work hour conflicts.
HOWEVER...
2020 is a new year, and a chance to get a fresh start. My work schedule is starting to stabilize, I have begun to get plugged in to my local game store community, and I am going to be clearing time to paint/play. I've been working the past week on getting more of my Dark Angels models painted, and have been revisiting my concept of the "Caliban's Fist" list that has one army collection that can be easily broken down into 2000, 1500, and 1000 point lists. I'm currently focusing on finally finishing up the models within these lists.
I am still really enjoying focusing on my Imperium armies at the moment. I plan to continue to paint and focus on my Dark Angels, and expand them with a few more purchases to bring them to a solid collection. My secondary focus is expanding my Astra Militarum by adding more heavy firepower to my almost-exclusively infantry collection. I may be revisiting my Eldar at some point this year. Unfortunately, I had to sell my Tyranids to help offset moving costs; I couldn't justify collecting two armies with that many models (I'd rather focus on the Astra Militarum).
2020 may have a slow start for wargaming, but I'd like to make it a priority this year. I'm excited for a fresh start, and hopefully some great games to come!
